Stella M. "Sally" Larochelle

Stella M. “Sally” LaRochelle, 92, lifelong Superior resident, died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Cedar Ridge Assisted Living in Superior. She was born in Superior, August 10, 1925, the daughter of Adolf and Josephine (Sawicki) Jenda.

Sally dedicated her life to caring for others through her CNA work at St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Southdale Nursing Home, and We Care For You Home Health.

Although she retired in 2003, her good health and spunky spirit allowed her to spend time with her grandchildren who meant the world to her.

Sally was an avid walker, loved to cook for her family and, was devoted to her faith. She was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 1190.

Sally is survived by her sons, David (Eileen) and Dennis (Marla) LaRochelle, both of Superior, WI; daughters, Renee (Kim) Trenary, Apple Valley, MN and Lynn (Ron) Krause, Superior, WI; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; sisters, Irene Cedzynski, Ida Biller, Anne Clarke, Janet Schafter; and brothers, Tony, Leo, Ted and Chet Jenda.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Holy Assumption Catholic Church, 5601 Tower Avenue, Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Ron Olson as celebrant.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, in Superior.

Pallbearers for the service will be Sally’s grandsons, Joe, Tim, Dan, Kurtis, Alex and Peter.
