Steven A. Learn

Steven A. Learn, 47, Panama City Beach, Florida, formerly of Superior, died Friday, October 17, 2014, unexpectedly in his home.

He was born on December 22, 1966 in Superior, the son of Jim “Sarge” and Bev Learn.

He graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1985 and also attended Duluth Community College, Duluth, MN.

He previously was a laborer in Superior before moving to Florida.

Steven served his country in the United States Army where he was a member of the Honor Guard.

Steven was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish with the family and trap with his good friend, Mike Edwards.

He is survived by his parents, one brother, Charles (Julie) Learn, South Range, WI; one niece, Sami Learn and one nephew, Nick Learn and several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Al and Loretta Learn of Superior, WI and maternal grandparents, Bill and Ethel Hunter of South Range, WI.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 2 PM to 5 PM at Vintage Italian Pizza, 1201 Tower Avenue, Superior. There also will be a Celebration of his Life in Panama City Beach, FL.

The Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior is assisting the family with arrangements.
