Steven E. Stromko

Steve E. Stromko, 85, Superior, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth. He was born on April 5, 1924 in Superior to Stephen and Josephine Stromko.
Steve had been employed as a switchman for the Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railroads.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Steve is survived by two daughters, Joann (Joel) Sitts, Salem, OR, Carol Prisser, Lodi, CA; special friend, Germaine Noonan, Superior; special niece, Dorothy Brown, Superior; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ann; three brothers, Anthony, Joseph and Stanley and three sisters, Ann, Barbara and Helen.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 4, 2009 in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. James Tobolski will be celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service will be Jim and Terry Tucker, Edward Milszeski, Tim Brown, Steve Hendry and Gator Peterson.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
