Stuart Alan Johnson

Stuart Alan Johnson, 51, longtime resident of Superior, WI, graduate of Superior Senior High School, and the University of Wisconsin, Superior, was brought into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born on December 18, 1965 in Ashland, WI to Robert and Ann Marie (Swanson) Johnson.

He previously worked at Lakehead Pipeline and Enbridge for many years before becoming thestudent information manager for Duluth Edison Charter School.

Stuart was preceded in death by his father, Robert Stuart Johnson in 2013.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Marie Johnson of Superior, WI; three brothers David (Michelle) Johnson, Farmington, MN and their children, Jacob, Jordan and Lauren, Chad (Denelle) Johnson, Superior, WI and their children, Sydney, Gunner and Bridgette (Matt) Bouvine with their children, Avery and Skylar and Cory (Stephanie) Johnson,Superior, WI and their children, Paige and Carter.

Stuart spent the first 10 years of his life growing up in Port Wing, WI, a place he always loved, and even after moving to Superior, he continued to spend countless hours for many years, sharing time with his beloved grandparents, Orville and Helen Swanson.  Through the years he was very active in Superior Youth Sports, touching the lives of many children through coaching baseball and his involvement in Hoop Club Basketball.  Stuart was an avid Badger, Brewer and Packer fan which he shared his passion while watching games with family and special friend Mike Berry. Stuart was also very active in the Church, being a major contributor to the Zion Lutheran Vacation Bible School and as a Sunday School teacher.  His heart of gold and genuine love for everyone in his life will forever be remembered.  A beautiful soul is at peace with his savior.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, 2022 E. 2 nd Street, Superior and continue until the 1:00 PM memorial service with Pastor Victor St. George officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Berry, Bud Brand, Dennis Claflin and Aine Merrill.
