Suanne "Susie" M. Rasmussen

Suanne M. “Susie” Rasmussen, 67, Superior resident, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Susie was born on December 8, 1948 in Wausau, WI to Marge and Frank Kiszewski then moved to Superior where she lived all of her life.

She attended St. Adalbert’s Catholic School, East High School and graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1967.

Susie worked at the National Bank of Commerce for many years, taking nine years off to raise her daughter Rachel. She retired in 2012.

In 1969 she was married to Richard Rasmussen.

Susie was a big fan of music and enjoyed the Blues Fest and many concerts. She loved movies, especially classic films starring Doris Day. She enjoyed autobiographies and biographies as well as behind the scenes filmmaking documentaries. Susie also loved watching tennis and football being a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Dick and daughter Rachel as well as brother Robert (Pat) Kiszewski and nephew Jason Kiszewski.

The family wishes to thank the Essentia Health Cancer Center staff and the Essentia Home Hospice team that gave her such excellent care.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street, Superior and continue until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski of St. Francis Xavier Church officiating.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
