Susan E. Kennelly

Susan E. Kennelly, 85, passed away on August 22, 2025, in Superior, WI. She was born the daughter of Vernon and Barbara (Forestell) Flint on April 10, 1940 in Rochester, MN.

She graduated from St. Charles High School and earned her LPN degree after moving to Superior, WI. She worked as an LPN in Superior for many years at Fieldview/Beverly Manor.

On April 15, 1961, Susan and Robert “Bob” Kennelly were married. They celebrated 48 years together before his passing in 2009.

Susan was a longtime member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church. She believed in the healing power of Jesus Christ and spent several hours a day praying for her family and others. It was common for her to receive calls from family and friends in need of prayer. She was truly a prayer warrior.

One of her greatest accomplishments in life was her family. Her legacy will live on through the lives of her four boys, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was the light of her life.

Survived by sons: Robert (Kristine) Kennelly, Jr., Blaine, MN, Richard (Lisa) Kennelly, Superior, Peter (Brenda) Kennelly, Coon Rapids, MN, and Paul (Stacy) Kennelly, Superior; grandchildren: Melia, Brady, Phillip, Conor, Haley, Elizabeth, Ashton, Ross and Alaina; great-grandchildren: Kieran, Brylei, Carson, Evelyn, Adrienne, Mackenzie, Saylor, Palmer and Alma; sister, Barbara (Lemar) Flint-Jensen and brother, Rees (Sherri) Flint; and longtime family friend, John Wakefield.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Kennelly, Sr., granddaughter Cassie and her parents.

Per Susan’s wishes, no public service will be held.

A private interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
