Suzanne Eveline Brandl, 83, longtime area resident of Minong, WI passed from this earth on April 24, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born in the Town of Rhine in Sheboygan County, on June 7, 1935, to Hubert and Eldora M. (Rein) Schneider.
She married the love of her life, Donald J. Brandl on July 31, 1954 and they celebrated 56 years of marriage before his passing in 2010.
Suzanne worked as a bartender for over 30 years before working for the Village of Minong as a Deputy Clerk Treasurer, for another 20 years. Later in life she filled many roles working for the Northwood School system. Sue enjoyed being a notary Public for over 50 years. Sue loved watching her Brewers baseball and the Green Bay Packers every chance she got. She enjoyed fishing, whether in a boat or just sitting on the bank of a lake. Sue was an avid baker, making cookies and cakes for all holidays and family events. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening, along with spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Kathleen (Karl) Schreiber, Ladysmith, WI, Linda (Greg) Green, Shell Lake, WI, Charmaine (Randy) Olson, Watertown, SD, and Vicky (Dave) Brown, Gordon, WI; sons, Donald (Joy) Brandl Jr., St. Germain, WI, Richard (Jolana) Brandl, Nappanee, IN, Gary (Diane) Brandl, Shell Lake, WI, and Randy (Theresa) Brandl, Watertown, WI; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Carol (Gene) Meyer, Plymouth, WI, and Sherry (Dave) Noe, Marinette, WI; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Hubert and Eldora; husband, Donald J. Brandl; grandson, Jared; and sister, Janet.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery in Spooner at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 29, 2019. Pastor Dan Hermanson of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spooner will officiate.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, John Green, Christopher Schreiber, Jason Brown, Matthew Brown, Gabriel Brandl and Benjamin Brandl, and great-grandson, John Green.
Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Wozny, John Gouge and George Hertzner.
