Suzanne “Sue” M. Lundberg, 67, longtime area resident, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN with her husband Terry by her side. She was born in Whittier, CA, June 1, 1952, the daughter of Edward and Gladys (Hoaas) Wagner.

Sue took pleasure in her years spent as a loving wife and mother. When she was married in 1971, she and husband Terry resided in Superior, WI. In 1972, they moved to Grand Forks, ND, so that Terry could attend Graduate School at the University of North Dakota. Once he completed his degree program, they moved to Denver, CO in 1974, where they resided and both worked in downtown Denver. Sue enjoyed skiing and weekend adventures in the Colorado mountains. Sue enjoyed working on stained glass as a hobby and traveling with her husband, making annual trips to Hawaii, Arizona, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Deadwood, South Dakota and Cayman Islands.

Sue also enjoyed her time at their lake home on the Upper Eau Claire in Barnes, WI and cherished evenings on the outdoor cabin deck and of course being on the lake itself. Sue was fond of music and annually attended the Deadwood Jam and Bayfront Blues Festival, as well as watching many concerts from various television sources. She was a big fan of the Eagles, Journey, Crow and Tommy Castro and the Painkillers.

Sue was afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis for over a decade but did not let it hamper her from being with family and friends, as well as traveling. She had a special caregiver, Mandy Pooler, who helped make her days easier by helping with activities of daily living.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Terry, Poplar, WI; daughter, Britt Lundberg, Minneapolis, MN; son, Eric Lundberg, Poplar, WI; mother, Gladys Wagner, Superior, WI; sister, Kristine (Kevin) Pallas, Fargo, ND; mother-in-law, Irene Lundberg, Superior, WI; and brother-in-law, Scott (Holly) Lundberg, Poplar, WI.
