Theodore Olson

Theodore Donald Olson, 69, Hibbing, MN, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 in his home. He was born on December 21, 1940 in Superior to Myron A. and Ruth M. (Gemmill) Olson. Ted was a lifelong Brule resident before moving to Hibbing in 2002.
Ted served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965.
He married Joann Noonan on May 5, 1990 in Brule and they celebrated twenty years of marriage.
Ted and his brothers owned and operated Olson Brothers Construction and Ted retired in 2002. He was a member of Union Local #139.
He loved trains and construction equipment.
In addition to his wife Joann, Ted is survived by one daughter, Emily Boe, Delano, MN; two sons, Merlin Middlestead and Lorne (Nancy) Middlestead, both of Hibbing, MN; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Douglas (Pirrko) Olson, and Myron R. (Norma) Olson, both of Brule; one sister Sondra Jo (Gary) Peterson, Brule; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Time of Remembrance will be on Monday, October 18, 2010 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, Superior from 11:00 AM until 12 Noon.
Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery in Brule.
