Thomas "Tom" Joseph Jarzynski, a caring and loving brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 14, 2022, at the Solvay Hospice House, Duluth, at the age of 73, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Tom was a lifelong resident of Superior, WI, graduating from Superior Cathedral High School in 1966 and drafted into the Army and served his country honorably during the Vietnam war. He later worked at the former B.N. Taconite Facility in Allouez for many years before his retirement.
Tom was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church in Superior.
He was an avid sports fan and a lifelong L.A. Dodgers fan; Sandy Koufax was his favorite player. The Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers also topped his list of favorites.
Tom is survived by a sister, Mary Knutson (Mark Bassett) of Hudson, WI, and four brothers, James Jarzynski (Linda) of Eau Claire, WI, Michael Jarzynski (Paula) of Roseville, MN, Paul Jarzynski (Jan) of Foxboro, WI, John Jarzynski (Deb) of Minneapolis, MN. and many, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Miller-Dwan Rehab Center, and Solvay House Hospice, for the great care and kindness shown to Tom.
A Rosary will be offered at 4:30 PM on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue in Superior, followed by a visitation from 5-7:00 PM. The Visitation will resume at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Belknap Street in Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Joji Boyapoti as celebrant.
Pallbearers will be Tom’s nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Superior where the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard will accord Military Honors.
Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s name to Cathedral School or Calvary Cemetery c/o 1410 Baxter Avenue, Superior, WI 54880.
