Timothy Charles Lindberg, 69, of Superior, WI, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at Aspirus Health in Duluth, surrounded by love.
Tim was born on June 29, 1956, in Superior, to Dr. Roy Lindberg and Shirley (Johnson) Lindberg. He grew up with a strong sense of faith, family, and service—values that guided him throughout his life.
On June 13, 1981, Tim married the love of his life, Mary (Kadlecek) Lindberg. Together they shared nearly 45 years of marriage, building a life centered on devotion to family, faith, and community.
Tim dedicated 39 years of his life to education, teaching in the Duluth Public Schools. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Superior. Known for his steady presence, compassion, and commitment to students, Tim left a lasting impact on generations of learners and colleagues.
A devoted father and grandfather, Tim took great joy in coaching and mentoring young people. He assisted in coaching football at Denfeld High School and coached his three sons in various sports throughout their youth. His love of teaching extended beyond the classroom and the field.
Faith played a central role in Tim’s life. He was deeply involved at North Bay Community Church, where he loved leading the worship ministry. A gifted musician, Tim shared his talents generously—playing keyboard and guitar, offering music lessons, and encouraging others through worship.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Roy Lindberg, as well as his grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lindberg; his mother, Shirley Lindberg; his sons, Matt (Jackie) Lindberg, Ben (Alisha) Lindberg, and Joel (Kyla) Lindberg; and his cherished grandchildren, Gabe, Alivia, Castor, Kat, Lyla, Nox, Stella, and Avianna.
He is also survived by his siblings, Dan (Tracy) Lindberg, Karen Lindberg, and Paul (Jacquelyn) Lindberg; his sister-in-law, Nancy (John) Hintz; his brother-in-law, Allen (Joanie) Kadlecek; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, students, and fellow worshippers whose lives he touched.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mast, Dr. Kolandaievel, their teams, and the compassionate staff on 2W at Aspirus Health, as well as Dr. Arik Hall and the team at the Carbone Cancer Center at UW Health in Madison, WI, for their exceptional care and support.
