Tina M. Polkoski

Tina Mae Polkoski, 31, former longtime Iron River, WI resident, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in St. Louis County from injuries sustained in an automobile/scooter accident. She was born on September 28, 1984 in Superior, WI to Allan A. “Tony” and Cynthia (Byrne) Polkoski.

She attended Northwestern High School with the class of 2001.

Tina was the bar manager at Shorty’s Bar in Superior and a real estate agent. She was also the owner/operator of Norm’s Beer and Brats in Superior.

She loved to go out and do things. She loved concerts, road trips, kayaking, skydiving, and really loved seeing her friends. She was a people person. Her bar, Norm’s sponsored volleyball, softball, and even bar league kickball. She loved being outside whenever she could. She was the PTA president when Xander was in elementary school. She was a member of St. Michael Church in Iron River, WI.

Tina is survived by two sons, Van and Xander; her father, Tony (Shawna) Polkoski; one brother, Tony (Lisa) Polkoski; special friend, Myles Nelson, Duluth, MN; paternal grandmother, Margaret “Marge” (Carl) Rautio, all of Iron River, WI; father of Tina’s youngest son, Randal Wuorinen, Superior, WI and numerous aunts, uncles and countless friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Cynthia in 1992.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 22 S. George Street, Iron River, WI and continue until the 12:00 PM Memorial Mass.
