Tommie T. Ranta

Tommie T. Ranta, 62, Superior, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015, of cancer, at the Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center in Superior.

He was born on November 27, 1952 in the Town of Cloverland to Arvid
and Ellen (Wiitanen) Ranta.

He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1970. He was employed at Bay Produce, growing tomatoes at the Challenge Center.

Tommie is survived by two sisters, Elmie (Norman) Henning, Eau Claire, WI, Rosie (Arlo) Glas, North Dakota; two brothers, Donald Ranta, Eau Claire, WI, Gerald (Virginia) Ranta, Elk Mound, WI and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Edna Ranta and three brothers, Arnold, Ronald an Charlie Ranta.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and will continue until the 12 Noon Funeral Service on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Dennis Paulson, officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
