Verlyn Helgerson

Verlyn Gale Helgerson, 75, Superior, WI and formally of Babbitt, MN has gone to be with our Lord on April 11, 2013.

Verlyn was born in Milwaukee, WI on August 27, 1937 to Clarence and Harriet (Erickson) Helgerson. He grew up in Chatfield, MN and married the love of his life, LaVonne Rathbone on October 3, 1959.

They then moved to Babbitt and had two sons, Mark Alan and David John Helgerson.

Verlyn was employed as a mining mechanic/welder for the mines in Babbitt. He was also very proud to have been a medic in the Army.

In addition to his sons, Mark and David (Susan) Helgerson, Verlyn is survived by one sister, Jo (Pastor Vic) Meyr; one brother, Paul Helgerson; a sister-in-law, Lucille Tangen; a brother-in-law, Ellert (Marilyne) Rathbone and many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

No public services are being planned at this time.
