Vern "Mike" M. Tucci

Vern M. “Mike” Tucci, 68, Superior, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at his home.

He was born on February 14, 1945 in Long Island, NY to Eugene and Grace (Spicer) Tucci.

Mike served his country in the United States Air Force and was employed with US Air Force as a Maintenance/Computer Specialist for twenty-two years retiring in 1984.

He married Peggy Brownell on October 30, 1970 in Marquette, MI and celebrated forty-two years of marriage.

Mike was a member of the National Street Machine Club. He loved NASCAR and he was a former WISSOTA racecar driver.

Mike is survived by his wife, Peggy; three sons, Robert (Connie) Cloud, Superior, WI, Michael (Judy) Tucci, Duluth, MN and Theodore (Cari) Tucci, Superior, WI; three daughters, Jeana Cloud, Superior, WI, Niesha Cardwell, Kokomo, IN and Michelle Price, Enumclaw, WA; eighteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, George Tucci, PA, Tom Tucci, CT; one sister, Bettilu Tucci, PA and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew Tom Tucci, Jr.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior and continue until the 10:30 AM Time or Remembrance Service.
