Victoria “Vicky” Walman, (104), Superior, died Monday, October 20, 2025. She was born on February 17, 1921, in Douglas County, WI to John and Mary (Bailey) Human.
Vicky had been employed with Duluth Avionics and was a cook at the former Parkland Health Facility.
She was a member of the former St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Royal Neighbors, and the Bay Garden Club. She loved her flower gardens, enjoyed knitting, housekeeping, rug weaving, playing cards, bingo, and playing penny machines at the casino. She also loved to cook and she canned vegetables from her gardens. She will be remembered for her kolaches.
Vickey is survived by four daughters, Janice Kelly, Appleton, WI, Shirley (Terrance) Sullivan, Appleton, WI, C. Jean (Tony) Bruno, Jr., Duluth, MN, and Debbie (Brian) Gitar, Duluth, MN; one son, Arnie (Jane) Prochazka, Superior, WI; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her former husbands, Clifford Walman and Eric Loustari, Frank Prochazka, father to her children; daughters, Susan Jane Prochazka and Karen (Skippy) Vandenberg; granddaughter, Wendy Prochazka; nine sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Monday, October 27, 2025 at Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E 5th Street in in Superior and continue until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski as celebrant.
Burial will be in Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.
