Vienna I. Polaski, 92, Superior, died, Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in St. Francis Home in the Park. She was born on April 2, 1918 in Maple, WI to Charles and Hilda (Soyring) Jarvi.
She enjoyed listening to music and working crossword puzzles.
Vienna is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Richard) Lier, Superior, Marilyn (Richard) Wilbur, Coon Rapids, MN; five grandchildren, Richard (Patty) Lier, South Range, Jeanne (Mike) Nolan, Superior, Linda Wilbur, Sheboygan, WI, Richard (Melissa) Wilbur, Coon Rapids, MN, Terri (Jim) Nordaker, Coon Rapids, MN; seven great-grandchildren, Sara (Chris) Rydberg, Tim (Emily) Nolan, Shae (Justin) Dahl, Nickolas Larson, Hannah Lier, Callie Lier and Megan Wilbur; three great-great-grandchildren, Ava Nolan, Naomi Nolan, and Shawn Rydberg; two brothers-in-law, Ben Polaski, Superior and Andrew Sablatura, Superior and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; one daughter, Diane Kay Polaski, three sisters, Aune Johnston, Ailie Mikkala and Elna Karra and one brother, Uno Jarvi.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 20, 2010 until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. James Tobolski will be celebrant.
Inurnment will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
Vienna’s family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at St. Francis Home in the Park for their kindness and care towards Vienna during her nine year stay.
