William "Bill" S. Ahlborg

William “Bill” S. Ahlborg, 59, Superior resident, died Wednesday, August 11, 2021, of cardiac arrest at his home. He was born on October 24, 1961, in Superior, WI to Edmond and Sophie (Jankowski) Ahlborg.

Bill served his country proudly in the United States Navy, serving in the Western Pacific, being honorably discharged as a 2 ^nd Class Petty Officer.

He loved the outdoors and 4-wheeling and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Bill is survived by his son, Brandon (Leah) Ahlborg, Superior, WI; two sisters, Barbara (Randy) Berkseth, Solon Springs, WI, and Nancy (Fred) Paine, Superior, WI; one brother, Bob (Mary Beth) Ahlborg, Superior, WI; two granddaughters, Madelyn, and Brylee; several nieces and nephews and his loving canine companions, Bella, and Dexter.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church and continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant. Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Superior.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Bill’s name to Cathedral School or the Douglas County Humane Society.
