William “Bill” R. Goligoski, 77, longtime Superior resident died peacefully, Saturday, November 6, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born October 11, 1944, the son of Louis and Helen (Jarzynski) Goligoski.
Bill served his country honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam. He earned his Specialist Degree in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and worked as a Computer Programing Instructor at WITC for over twenty-seven years before retiring in 2000.
Bill was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church in Superior. He was an honorary lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Albert Cardinal Meyer Council #499 for forty-seven years.
He is survived by his nephews, Michael and Nicholas Goligoski, and his great-niece, Abby. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Judith Goligoski.
Bill was a very kind and generous person who valued education. Many have been blessed by his benevolence.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 12, 2021, at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Belknap Street, Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435 Honor Guard.
