William "Bill" S. Nelson

William “Bill” S. Nelson, 63, Town of Superior resident, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 27, 1952 in Superior, WI to Eugene and Beverly (Sherlock) Nelson.

Bill was a grain inspector for Globe Elevator-King Midas Flour Mill for twenty-three years retiring in 2010.

He married Peggy Holmes on November 23, 1973 and celebrated forty-two years of marriage.

Bill loved hunting, fishing, traveling and gardening. His favorite pastime was building and creating wood projects including building his family home in the Town of Superior.

Bill is survived by his wife Peggy Nelson; one son, Cory (Nichole) Nelson, Town of Superior; his parents, Bev and Gene Nelson, Superior, WI; one brother, Bob (Cheryl) Nelson, New Brighton, MN; two sisters, Kathy (Bruce) Swanson, Gordon, WI and Barbara (Scot) Milroy, Superior, WI and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Louis and Elenore Sherlock.

A Celebration of William’s Life will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 with visitation at 10:00 AM and service at 11:00 AM at the family home at 6835 S. Oakland Road, Superior, WI with Gary Banker officiating.
