William P. “Bill” Shay II, 72, Superior resident, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital Hospice in Duluth. He was born on July 29, 1942 in Duluth, MN to William P. and Constance (Kreidler) Shay.
Bill was a professional painter by trade and belonged to the Iron Painters Union Local 109.
He was a member of The Salvation Army in Superior.
Bill had a passion for junk cars and pretty women.
Bill is survived by his former wife, Darla and their children, Heidi (Bill) O’Brien and Bonnie (Shane) Andrews; five grandchildren, Malley and Eddy O’Brien and William, Benjamin and Addison Andrews, all of Superior, WI; many nieces and nephews and special friend Shelley Carroll.
He is preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Dolores Shelhon.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at The Salvation Army, 916 Hughitt Avenue, Superior and continue until the 3:00 PM memorial service.
