William F. Koski

William F. Koski, 86, Superior, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in the Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center.
William was born on December 1, 1922 in Strawberry Lake, MN to Kalle and Elizabeth (Erne) Koski. He married Janet Schooler in June of 1956 in Detroit Lakes, MN and celebrated fifty-two years of marriage. Bill served in the Army and was employed as a mechanic for Reserve Mining Company in Babbitt, MN until his retirement. He was a member of the V.F.W., Steelworkers Labor Union, and was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan. Bill had a passion for golfing and enjoyed working with his hands and fixing things for his family and friends.
In addition to his wife Janet, Bill is survived by one daughter, Julianne Koski, Superior; four sons, Larry (Jeannine) Koski, Claremont, FL, Daniel (Pamela) Koski, Cottage Grove, MN, Timothy (Elaine) Koski, Murfreesboro, TN, Steven (Laurie) Koski, Bend, OR; one sister, Lila Utke, Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren, Kim, Chris, Samantha, Jenna, Jacob and Jonah; two great-great-grandchildren, Cali and Gabriel, and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Helen Nygard and Tyne Soyring and three brothers, Harold, Armas and Richard Koski.
A Celebration of William's life will be held at a later date.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
