William D. Rhodes

William D. “Bill” Rhodes, 57, Superior, died Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Essential Health in Duluth, MN.

He was born on November 28, 1953 in Superior to Leon and Evelyn (Yeazle) Rhodes.

He was employed as a pipefitter and boilermaker for Frasier Shipyards from 1974 to 2005 when he retired. Bill was a member of the local Steelworkers Union.

He loved to shoot pool and he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.

Bill is survived by two daughters, Sharon Rhodes, Rachell Rhodes and one son, Lee Rhodes, all of Denham, LA; one grandson, Christopher; four sisters, Doris (Lee) White, South Range, WI, Ann (Buck) DeMars, Superior, Lois (Paul) Quick, Bemidji, MN, Pamela (Charlie) Fisher, Superior; one brother, Leon (Laura) Rhodes, Barnes, WI and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Evelyn Rhodes; three brothers, Elmer, Ron and Gary Rhodes, one sister, Betty Prendergast and his former wife, Wendy Rhodes.

A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Androy Hotel Banquet Room, 1213 Tower Ave., Superior, with Pamela Fisher, officiating.
