William M. Spencer

January 21, 1922 — December 25, 2020

William M. Spencer, 98, of Superior, WI, died on Friday, December 25, 2020, at Aspen Health and Rehab (formerly Middle River Health Facility). He was born on January 21, 1922, in Tomahawk, WI to Allen and Anna (Schumacher) Spencer.

He enjoyed collecting guns and coins and owned Superior Collectibles for many years. Dancing was a favorite pastime of his well into his eighties.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son James Spencer, grandson Michael Egan, sisters Laura Fredrick and Ruth Wolfe, and brother Allen Spencer.

William is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Michael) Wendling; son, William (Maureen) Spencer; four grandchildren, Christine, Bill, Cody, and Kristen and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 23, 2021, at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior and will continue until the 11:00 AM memorial service with Pastor Victor St. George officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
