Willie Mae Anderson, 65, former longtime resident of Chicago, currently of Superior, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 1, 1950 in Shelby, Mississippi to Fred and Minnie Ruth (Williams) Landrum.
She graduated from high school in Illinois and studied 2 years at nursing school.
Willie was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Illinois.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading the bible and she had a wonderful sense of humor. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends.
Willie is survived by her son, Eric Anderson; three sisters, Velma Clemmer, Ocie Landrum, Maelee Landrum; one brother Joseph Landrum; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie; her parents; three brothers, Otha Landrum, Gene Landrum and Fred J. Landrum; three sisters, Johnnie B. Jackson, Magalee Landrum and Mary Alice Landrum.
A Time of Remembrance and Celebration of Life will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Izzy’s BBQ Lounge and Grill, 1506 North 3 rd Street, Superior.
