Yvonne M Bartell

Yvonne M. Bartell, 68, longtime Surperior area resident, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth. She was born in Brainard, MN on June 1, 1948, the daughter of James and Ann Marie (Ruhl) Hoeft.

She graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1966 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

She married Mike Bartell on September 5, 1968 and celebrated forty-seven years of marriage.

Yvonne was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a longtime active member of the Cooper PTA.

Yvonne is survived by her husband, Mike; one daughter, Heather Bartell; two sons, Michael J. Bartell and Richard (Crystal) Bartell; four grandchildren, Kellan, Celia, Lauren and Elias; one sister, Linda (Mike) Thompson; one brother, Dean Hoeft and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathy and brother Doug.

Per Yvonne’s wishes no public services are being planned.
