Shane Patrick Demars

Shane Patrick DeMars, 51, Superior resident, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday August 26, 2025. He was born in Superior on April 23, 1974 to Felix J “Buck” DeMars and Ann (Rhodes) DeMars.

Shane graduated in 1992 from Superior Senior High and attended WITC. Shane was our favorite bartender at Norms bar for many years. After a few places of employment, he found his spot at the CN railroad as a control operator for the last 14 years.

He loved hunting and fishing. He felt most free riding his Harley. He was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed going to Lambeau Field with his family. His latest passion with Lindsey by his side was hitting the trails on his SXS with friends.

Shane is best known for his smile, his humor, his love for his family and friends and most of all his story telling that he shared through the years.

Shane is preceded in death by his father, Buck.

Shane is survived by his mother Ann, sister Kym (Danny) Borndal; brother Mark; son Evan DeMars; daughter Paige DeMars; his life partner Lindsey Rabideaux; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Shane’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Log Cabin Tavern, 2821 County Road E, South Range WI 54874 from 3:00-6:00 pm.

Memorials will be sent to organizations that Shane supported.
