Tracy L. Tallberg

September 17, 1969 — June 16, 2025

Tracy L. Tallberg, affectionately known as “Trace” passed away unexpectedly on June 16, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on September 27, 1969, in Duluth, Minnesota,Tracy was the beloved daughter of the late Walter C. Tallberg and the late Betty Kay Brannan Tallberg. She leaves behind a legacy defined by love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit.

Tracy’s life was distinguished by her remarkable service to her country. A proud veteran, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy following her graduation from Northwestern High School in 1987. After serving her country aboard the USS Acadia during Desert Storm, Tracy continued her service as a military contractor with top secret clearance in Afghanistan, the Middle East and Europe. She cherished her opportunities to support those in uniform and dedicated herself to missions rooted in courage, integrity and honor.

A fearless soul who embraced life passionately, Tracy easily befriended people wherever she went, touching countless lives. She was respected and admired by those who crossed her path. Her infectious smile illuminated every room she entered; a smile so genuine, beautiful and welcoming it remains unforgettable to those she has left behind.

For Tracy, life was an adventure. Blessed to find her soulmate early in life, she and husband Joe Lassen, Jr., spent 33 years together. They raised three cherished children; Damien, Brody and Paige whom Tracy loved deeply and supported unconditionally. Family was paramount to Tracy, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure her loved ones felt valued and cared for. Known for her spontaneity and generosity, Tracy loved surprising friends and family alike, always showing up with unexpected gestures of support, affection, and humor. Her genuine wish was to ensure the happiness of everyone around her, sparing no effort in uplifting others and bringing joy.

Outside professional endeavors, Tracy pursued life with enthusiasm and adventure. She found joy in traveling, always seeking new horizons and creating meaningful memories wherever she roamed. Tracy’s love of motor bikes, a passion she shared with her husband and children, developed in her youth while spending time in the Sislo’s garage alongside her cousins.

Tracy found happiness in the simple pleasures. Her compassion extended to every living creature she encountered. True to her nature, Tracy was known for helping stray animals wherever she found them. Kindness was her hallmark.
